Receive Gifts From Prez Mahama . . . But Vote Against His Gov't - Mike Oquaye Jnr

NPP Deputy Communications Director, Mike Oquaye Jnr. has urged Ghanaians not to turn down any offer that President John Dramani Mahama gives them.

According to him, they should receive gifts from the President in good faith but have the guts to vote him out of power.

Speaking on Peace FM's Kokrokoo, Mike Oquaye slammed the Mahama administration for distributing for its vote-buying antics including the sharing of outboard motors and pans to fisherfolks and traders in the country.

He pointed out though, that there is nothing wrong for President John Mahama to give out outboard motors and other equipment to improve the lives of Ghanaians since he is using tax payer's money to distribute the items.

His issue with the President's kind gesture, he indicated on Kokrokoo, is the way President Mahama is using the distribution of fishing gear as a campaign strategy to canvass votes for the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC).

He asked why the President would use hard-earned tax payers' money to advance his political ambitions.

Mike Oquaye Jnr. therefore advised Ghanaians not to fall for what he called the deception by President Mahama and his government but rather vote massively for Nana Addo to salvage the deteriorating economy.

Also addressing the issue on Kokrokoo was the Parliamentary candidate for Efutu, Nana Ofori Atta.

He called on the Mahama government to be transparent and accountable to Ghanaians.

To him, the government has failed the nation and not put proper structures in place to improve the economy.
