NPP Spits On Us...Why Shouldnt Voltarians Look Inward When The View Outside Ain't Pleasant? - Koku

The governing NDC says NPP running mate Dr. Bawumia deceived the Electoral Commission when he claimed the NPP had evidence of some seventy six thousand Togolese on the country’s voter’s register.

According to the NDC, they are not surprised that Dr. Bawumia has failed to submit the over 76,000 supposed 'foreign voters' to the Electoral Commission for deletion because it exposes NPP’s hatred for people of the Volta region.

Thus, Koku Anyidoho, has vowed to expose the evil agenda of the NPP and its running mate Dr. Bawumia, who he described as a nation wrecker.

Rekindling the sentiment that led the NDC General Secretary, Johnson Asiedu Nketia, to call for the NPP running mate’s arrest, Mr. Anyidoho stated that Dr. Bawumia’s claim shows that NPP still sees the Volta region as not part of Ghana.

Addressing a press conference in the Volta regional capital, Ho on Monday, the deputy NDC General Secretary called on Voltarians to reject the main opposition party in the upcoming December polls for looking down and treating them with disdain.

Have we ever sat down to plot evil against the Ashanti region because it is the stronghold of the NPP, certainly not...it is now clear as daylight that Dr, Bawumia’s evil agenda of presenting fake voters’ register from Togo and making a false claim that thousands of Togolese have their names on Ghana’s register (specifically from the Volta region) feeds into the UP tradition’s sick thinking that the Volta region is not part of Ghana”.

They insult us, they spit on us, they consider us to be Togolese (Not that there is anything wrong with being Togolese) and when we refuse to vote for them, they say we are inward looking. Why shouldn’t we look inward when the view outside is not pleasant to the eye?” He further stated.

Ladies and gentlemen, this whole nonsensical approach by Bawumia to create a false impression that thousands of Togolese votes in the Volta region is deeply rooted in the UP tradition agenda against the region.

The deputy NDC Gen Sec wondered why Dr Bawumia refused to comment on the EC's voters register even when the manner in which the Supreme Court was handling a case brought before it became very contentious.

The Supreme Court June 30, 2016 ruling which brought finality to the case left many wondering why Dr Bawumia who vowed to produce thousands of names of foreigners and minors captured by a software the NPP was using to audit the register  suddenly lost interest in the case.

According to Koku Anyidoho, it is now obvious that the "NPP attacks on the EC and sensational allegations against the Chairperson" is a calculated strategy by the main opposition party to "find an escape route as defeat faces the Nana Addo led disintegrated party" come December 7.
