NDC Should Go For Afoko & Co. -Lawyer Buabeng Asamoah

Special aide to Nana Akufo-Addo, Presidential Candidate for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), lawyer Yaw Buabeng Asamoah has said that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has been of sound mind and united ever since it suspended some leaders.

According to him, those leaders were suspended due to their attacks against the party, and urged the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to go for them since they have allegedly already paid some monies to them to be part of their party.

National Chairman, General Secretary, and the Second National Vice-Chairman of the NPP; Paul Awentime Afoko, Kwabena Agyei Agyepong and Sammy Crabbe respectively were suspended last year by the National Executive Council (NEC) of the NPP for acting against the constitution of the Party.

He spoke during a panel discussion on UTV’s 'Adekye Nsroma'.

The suspended chairman of the NPP was in court challenging the legality of his suspension by the Disciplinary Committee of the party.

However, the Human Rights Division of the Accra High Court on Monday, August 15, 2016, dismissed the suit.
