NDCs Campaign Launch Was Needless Nana Akomea Affirms

Communications Director for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Akomea has described NDC’s 2016 campaign launch over the weekend as unwanted since it included nothing new and positive to be discussed.

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) launched its 2016 election campaign on Sunday, August 14, 2016 at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium in the Central Region and also outdoored the party’s Presidential candidate, President John Dramani Mahama and his running mate, Paa Kwesi Bekoe Amissah-Arthur, the Vice President.

The event formerly introduced the campaign team for the party and its leaders, who would steer the affairs of the party for the 2016 elections in December.

In an interview with OKAY FM’s ‘Ade Akye Abia’ programme host, Kwame Nkrumah Tikesie, Nana Akomea emphasized that President Mahama is off-the-bar in addressing issues.

According to him the main motive of their party’s national campaign launch was not in any way addressed, but rather unwanted propaganda issues were tackled.

To be frank this campaign of theirs was needless,” he emphasized.

He added that “the pioneers of the programme didn’t draw a good programme as per the norms a political party. A critical example was for John Dumelo, a movie Actor, who now claims to be a member of the NDC party to be given the mandate to speak immediately after the founder and Leader of the party, Former President Flt Lt Jerry John Rawlings finished his speech. Indeed he (Former President Flt Lt Jerry John Rawlings) should have been the last person to move the function to a close after his speech.”
