FONKAR Splits From Nana Konadu

Founder of ‘Friends of Nana Konadu Agyeman Rawlings’ (FONKAR), Joseph Bediako has confirmed that the group has part-ways with the National Democratic Party (NDP).

“I refuse to be a member of an ungrateful leader’s party, who deliberately sent Owusu Bempah to talk against me on an Accra-based Radio Station, Kasapa FM. Henceforth, I will now join Sammy Awuku, Mike Oquaye Jnr., Anthony Karbo and the others in the NPP, as a free movement personality with my FONKAR members to proclaim the truth and accountability message their party has for Ghanaians,” he noted.

According to him, he has refused accepting membership to the New Patriotic Party (NPP) because he has described the party as an unqualified one compared to the NDP to win the upcoming polls, and also because he has no NPP membership card and do not want to be classified as a political prostitute.

Speaking on Okay FM's ‘Ade Akye Abia’ Morning Show, he stressed “I will bitterly expose the Communications Director of the National Democratic Party (NDP), Ernest Owusu Bempah a.k.a ‘Aboa Papo’ and as well strip him naked for always giving false information about me to the leader of the party, Nana Konadu Agyeman Rawlings.”

He continued “What pained my heart the most to the extent that I remembered my mother who died eight years ago, was for Mrs. Rawlings to tell me to be reporting to the Communications Director on everything I want to do concerning the party and FONKAR, just because I refused her offer to be the Treasurer of the party, to being its Deputy Communications Director.”

“I was surprised when I heard Mrs. Rawlings claiming she knows nothing about FONKAR, but embraced the group and as well as was present on its launching day,” he told Kwame Nkrumah Tekisie.
