Akua Donkor Was Rewarded For Insulting Nana Addo - Sammy Awuku

The National Youth Organizer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Sammy Awuku says founder and leader of the Ghana Freedom Party (GFP), Madam Akua Donkor was 'rewarded' with vehicles and a house because of her disgusting utterances against the NPP.

According to him, Akua Donkor has been ordered by the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) to rain insults on NPP’s flagbearer and subject the party to public ridicule.

“Akua Donkor’s conduct ever since she announced the birth of her party has been a questionable one and I have always had issues with it because I knew she was working hand in hand with the NDC just to make our party unpopular.

“I know she got the cars and house from the President just to show appreciation for insulting us (NPP),” he asserted.

Akua Donkor in an interview published on Adomonline.com claimed that the President gave her two cars and a three bedroom house.

She claimed President Mahama gifted her the vehicles and building to spite the flagbearer of the Progressive People’s Party (PPP), Dr Papa Kwesi Nduom who took his Tundra vehicle from her.

The house, she said was located at Sakumono in Accra.

Subsequently, the Communication Director of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Akomea called on the Commission on Human Rights and Administrative Justice (CHRAJ) to probe Akua Donkor for the allegations made.

But Akua Donkor has since back tracked her comments saying she made those claims earlier to spite the Progressive People’s Party flagbearer, Dr Paa Kwesi Nduom.

However, Sammy Awuku who described Akua Donkor as an ‘attention seeking’ politician, asked her to desist from subjecting the party to public ridicule.
