Sly Moshie Zongo, the former National Democratic Congress (NDC) serial caller, who recently burnt the flag of ruling political party in public in Kumasi due to extreme hardship in the country, has caused another stir.
Sly usually wears the paraphernalia of the NPP on a daily basis to campaign for the party in suburbs of Kumasi, the capital of the Ashanti region.
He has virtually hijacked the campaign of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) and its presidential candidate, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo ahead of the December elections.
Sly, who denounced the NDC and President Mahama over their abysmal performance, is fervently campaigning on the streets of the city to help Nana Akufo-Addo win the polls.
Interestingly, even die-hard supporters of the NPP in the city only wear the party’s paraphernalia during official events or when Nana Akufo-Addo embarks on a campaign tour of the region.
Several NPP members that have seen Sly vigorously campaigning for Nana Akufo-Addo ahead of the upcoming presidential elections have expressed shock.
Sly was one of the vociferous NDC members in the Ashanti region, who invested his time and energy to lambast the previous NPP administration when the NDC was in opposition for eight years.
