"Pampered NPP" Now Becoming A Spoilt Child, . . . Well 'Crack The Whip'! Koku

Deputy General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress [NDC], Koku Anyidoho has voiced out his frustration over how the opposition New Patriotic Party [NPP] ‘blindly’ criticizes everything state agencies do – including the Electoral Commission [EC].

“NPP is heading Ghana on the wrong path with their unhealthy criticisms. It’s really sad,” he said.

According to him – the elephant fraternity still doesn’t believe they lost the 2012 election and are in opposition, so they are doing everything within their means to frustrate government.

Because they lost the elections, they [NPP] are trying all means to bring this country down. Today they complain about this, tomorrow about that. What at all do they want?” he queried.

Speaking to NEAT FM’s morning show host, Kwesi Aboagye on Ghana Montie, Koku described as ‘unfortunate’ and hypocritical on the part of the NPP, recent accusations by the opposition party it was not involved in the decision to transmit the December 7 polls results electronically.

He stressed that the idea to use the electronic medium, which has been adopted by Ghana’s electoral body, was suggested by the NPP at an Inter-Party Advisory Committee (IPAC) meeting.

These accusations are not true. The NPP has been involved with decision with regards to EC’s electronic transmission. The EC has proved that so why is the NPP complaining? Now we are sick and tired of the NPP. We’ve pampered them for too long and they are becoming a spoilt child. Now we will crack the whip.

The NDC will provide documented evidence to prove that the NPP has always been in the know regarding electronic transmission of election results and other electoral matters.
