The Eastern Regional Minister, Hon. Mavis Ama Frimpong, a Deaconess of The Church of Pentecost in Koforidua, has tied the knot to Elder Emmanuel Cudjoe Gati of the Ashaiman Area of the Church.

The holy matrimony which took place on Saturday June 18, 2016, at the Pentecost International Worship Centre (PIWC) Sakumono in Accra, attracted people from all walks of life, including Chiefs, Queen mothers, the Clergy, Parliamentarians and Ministers of State.

Apostle Eric Nyamekye, an Executive Council Member of The Church of Pentecost and Area Head for Koforidua, led the solemnization of the marriage.

In a sermon titled, “What is Your Spouse Worth?” the Area Head for Achimota and Executive Council Member of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle Joseph Assabil, said though people marry for various reasons such as for security, protection, spirituality,  procreation, money, status, peer and family pressure, it is important for people to place high value on their spouses.

He asked couples to seek the welfare and happiness of their spouses, saying, “You should make your spouse and other people around him or her comfortable.”

Apostle Assabil advised all married couples to use marriage to help one another to build society. Quoting from Ruth 4:14-15, he reiterated that Ruth followed Naomi to Bethlehem because of her attachment to the husband.

“There is something that binds us together that when there is no money, children, family, education, house, the couple becomes complete. The essence of life is not what you have accumulated but how much you have helped others to succeed,” he added.

He said wealth and all that man accumulates would be left here on earth when one is called home to eternity. “If you are married, live your life with your partner since faithfulness and loyalty produces great things,” Apostle Assabil stressed.

Expressing their gratitude, the bride, Honourable Mavis Ama Frimpong thanked God for seeing them through their marriage successfully and thanked all the people present for gracing the occasion.
