Social Media Should Not Be Entertained At All Ade Coker

Greater Accra Regional Chairman of the ruling National Democratic Congress ( NDC), Joseph Ade Coker has blamed members of the largest opposition party for being the ones always telling fabricated tales against the NDC on social media.

According to him “Social media should not at any point be entertained in this country, because it has nothing positive to offer, but a call by the police to get rid of it was rubbished by members of the NPP because they know it would destroy their ways of channeling forged stories.”

He said the main cause of these forged stories, led by the party’s senior propagandist, Sir John is just to tarnish the good image and works of the Mahama led administration.

Speaking to UTV’s morning show host, Lawyer Tweneboah Kodua, Ade Coker noted that “Social media will soon thread this country into a kind of darkness that would be very difficult for it coming back to light . . .”

Touching on why the Electoral Commission has not complied with the directive of the Supreme Court concerning the cleaning of the Voters register, he explained that the EC would not do away with the ruling of the Supreme Court but would do it perfectly as the court demands of them, in a manner that suites their constitution.

Mr Ade Coker called on the Christian council to judge fairly per the issues at hand than being one sided in their reportage towards political subjects.
