Microfinance Scandal To Rock East Legon

Customers and investors of a microfinance company (name withheld) operating at East Legon with ten branches dotted around Accra are sitting on tenterhooks as they await when they can recoup their investments.

Three visibly worried customers of the company who spoke to The New Crusading GUIDE yesterday said all attempts to withdraw some amount of money enter into different business ventures have hit a snag as management of the company have been tossing them about.

"My investment is more than Ghc300, 000 but it has been difficult for me to withdraw a fraction since the MD has been playing hide and seek with me,” one of the investors told this paper yesterday.

"I don't want a repetition of the DKM scandal. No, I can't be a victim", he declared.

They threatened to seek redress in the law Courts before "it's too late"

An attempt by this paper to contact management of the company proved futile as they were said to be locked up in a meeting.
