This past weekend, Chris Brown threw an early birthday party for his toddler, Royalty, who officially turns 2 on May 27.

However, as dad and daughter were having some birthday fun, the 28-year-old wasn’t too happy about the music selection.

In an Instagram post, the tot dances with a performer dressed as Elmo to Rihanna’s hit single, “Work.”

Breezy, who once had a tumultuous relationship with the Bajan singer, captioned the clip, “ELMO TRIPPING with the song selection,” before adding, “NO SHADE. Where’s the Chris Brown music. LOL.”

Despite it all, Royalty appeared to be enjoying the song — even if her dad wasn’t a fan. Though the musician claimed he wasn’t trying to be shady, he eventually deleted the post, possibly in fear of the criticism he’d receive from the pop singer’s dedicated “Navy” fanbase.

Later, the “Ayo” singer followed up the post with a couple videos of his princess taking a swim in a pool, as well as singing Frozen’s “Let It Go”.
