Shun Scare Mongers - Ablakwa

Deputy Minister of Education (Tertiary) Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa has advised Ghanaians to pay little attention to scare-mongering in the run-up to the November polls.

Speaking at a lecture organised by the Student Representative Council of the Accra Polytechnic, Wednesday May 11, Mr Ablakwa expressed concern at the scourge of peace groups in every election and wondered the need for such groups.

“Why do we deliberately create a sense that the process is so cumbersome?” he asked.

“Let us shun scare mongering, the scare mongers, those who want to also take unnecessary advantage of the elections and create a peace industry, we should not encourage that.

“Let us also stay away from those who seek to divide us, who decide to let this idea around moving our nation forward be an issue of hatred for one another, divisions, ethnocentrism, and all kinds of religious exploitations. All those things must be taken away.”
