Ghana Has A Bright Future Dr. Duffuor

A former Finance Minister of Ghana, Dr. Kwabena Duffour, believes Ghana has a very bright future, notwithstanding the economic challenges currently being experienced in the country, and that, what is needed is the collective responsibility of all, to put an end to the challenges confronting her as a nation.

The 73-year-old former bank of Ghana (BoG) Governor, expressed the above optimism, during an interview with Starr 103.5 FM, in Accra; adding that, the country ought to be focused and not be disrupted by the challenges encountered in its forward-march towards achieving a sustainable development in all spheres, for unborn generations, to inherit.

“I have been observing what is happening in our country now and, I would be very honest with you, Ghana is a very great country; it is a very special country and what we are going through now, to me, are minor challenges which must not be allowed to disturb our forward march to development.

We have a huge responsibility as Ghanaians; we are not working for ourselves; we are working for a generation yet unborn; so let us get together; who says there won’t be challenges in society. But it is your ability as a nation to resolve such challenges; there is nothing wrong in Ghana frankly,” Dr. Duffuor stressed.

Ghana’s economic performance has not been the best for the past three (3) years; but sounding very optimistic, the former Finance Minister, insists the country still has a chance to turn its economic fortunes around, following the sound home-grown economic policies put in places by the government.
