All Parliamentary Losers Should Make The Court Their Last Resort - Ofosu Ampofo

The First Vice National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Samuel Ofosu Ampofo has urged all the Parliamentary aspirants that lost out in the NDC Primaries to resort to the party structures laid down to settle disputes.

According to Hon. Samuel Ofosu Ampofo, the NDC made history on Saturday, November 21 when it conducted the Primaries which saw new faces winning the nod of the constituents.

There were some surprises during the Primaries, particularly at Ningo Prampram constituency where the long-serving incumbent Member of Parliament E.T Mensah was defeated by his opponent Sam George.

Speaking to Peace FM's 'Kokrokoo', Hon. Ofosu Ampofo advised the losers who dispute the outcome of the elections not to resort to the court but rather remain patient calling on the party to address the concerns.

“They should remain patient. The court should be last resort…The first thing is to petition the party and then the party will go through the issues. If you believe you still have an issue and nobody is defending you, and so would like to go to the court; that should be the last resort. It’s history that we’ve made," he stated.
