NPP Germany Branch: National Security, Military And BNI Extended Wings Of The NDC

The Germany Branch of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) has blamed the dawn invasion and ransacking of the National Head Office of the party on people in authority to divert the attention of Ghanaians from the bread and butter issues in the country.

According to their Communication Director, Alex Tuffuor, the national Head Office of the NPP was ransacked by plain clothed National Security officers accompanied by Military Men invading the party head office and locking up two security men who were on duty in a room.

In a statement copied to Peacefmonline.com, Alex Tuffuor asserted the National Security, Military and BNI are extended wings of the NDC; believing some people in authority were behind the dawn invasion of the party’s headquarters.

He insisted in the statement that the action which is meant to create the impression that the NPP have a problem within their party will backfire; reiterating that invasion and ransacking is clearly a sign of a desperate government clutching to straws.

He again stated the government is using every desperate action in attempt to cow the opposition NPP and get an unfair advantage in the coming general elections in 2016.

Below Is The Full Statement Of NPP Germany Branch:

NPP GERMANY CONDEMN THE INVASION AND RANSACKING OF THE NATIONAL HEAD OFFICE OF OUR PARTY

The National Head Office of our Party, the New Patriotic Party was ransacked by plain clothed National Security Officers accompanied by Military Men invading the party head office and locking up two security men who were on duty in the security room on the compound. After having full control and access over the compound, they proceeded to break into every single office and came out carrying with them piles of documents, computers and hard drives with valuable party information saved on them.

For too long, the National Security, Military and BNI have been used as an extended wing of the NDC. We believe some people in authority were behind the dawn invasion of our National Headquarters. Their attempt to divert the attention of Ghanaians from bread and butter issues and create the impression that we have a problem within our party will backfire on them. This action is clearly a sign of a desperate government clutching to straws and using every desperate action in attempt to cow the opposition and get an unfair advantage in the coming election.

We are calling on the Government, the National Security, the Military High Command and the Police Service to immediately explain this criminal action. NPP we know is peaceful, united and purposeful, we advise our members to stay focused to ensure a landslide victory in the 2016 elections.

Communication Director,
NPP Germany Branch.
