Ex-Prez Kufour Is Not Part Of New Labour Party Listowell

Even though some political bigwigs in the erstwhile Kufour regime are purported to be the brain behind a new political party christened “New Labour Party” [NLP] with the “Hand” as its emblem – a leading member of the party has maintained that the former president is “not part of the party” as claimed.

After Peacefmonline.com broke the news about the NLP with Ex-President Kufour’s allies as key members of the party birth from the NPP – many have accused President Kufour of masterminding the idea to form the new party from the party he once led.

Listowell Nana Kusi-Poku who resigned as the General Secretary of United Front Party (UFP) recently to join the yet-to-be-registered party as the interim General Secretary told Peacfmonline.com>/b> in an interview that, President Kufour’s name must be exempted from the NLP.

He urged all to “Respect the president. He [Ex-Prez Kufour] doesn’t need this to make his name. He is a brand and must be treated as such.”

Listowell however described the NPP as a “lawless party” – he maintained that the NPP is unfit to rule the country with their internal wrangling yet to be resolved.

He said the NLP has presented all necessary signed documents to the Electoral Commission [EC] to begin registration process of the party to contest election 2016.
