"Joy 2012" Schools NPP And EC On New BVR

Election 2012 Independent Presidential Candidate, Jacob Osei Yeboah also known as “JOY 2012” prior to the Electoral Commission's [EC's] forum had forewarned the nation about the potential danger the call for a new Biometric Voter Registeration (BVR) can have on the country.

In March 2015 he alerted the whole country through a letter to the National Peace Council [NPC] and all political parties and stakeholders.

"JOY 2012" in the said letter with depth of knowledge in Biometric Technology, gave the long term automated maintenance, cleaning solution (National Electronic Data Infrastructure NEDI) for the call for new BVR without rancor in the country.

He alluded to NEDI as a planning tool for Local Government Ministry and cited EC, NIA, Birth and Death Department as some beneficiary institutions.

NPP’s running mate, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia in July made a presentation, with a strong case for a new BVR and characteristically stating the current register as incurable flawed.

Dr. Bawumia cited Foreigners, under age and mischievous scanning of photos of foreign Voters in the BVR - He also cited NIA as a panacea to the long term solution against what "JOY 2012" stated in March 2015.

The repercussions were witnessed by the whole nation and the courage with which the flag bearer of the NPP, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo also campaigned for in the western countries especially, Germany and USA to garner support for new BVR.

However, Jacob Osei Yeboah intimated to Peacefmonline.com that the EC never invited his team to share its views on electoral reforms with the IPAC - although they did expressed interest in a letter to the EC.

Despite not given an official invitation to the recent EC forum, "JOY 2012" had the opportunity to school the forum on how to have a clean voters’ register.

He pointed out the differences between the technologies of 1992-2008 photometric data register and the 2012 BVR.

The independent presidential candidate dissected the superior technology of Biometrics as unique and nondestructive..

He used practical process of creating a new BVR as against simple verification of just placing ones fingers to verify the details – after asking a rhetorically – “which one is easier, faster and economically to achieve.”

Mr. Jacob Osei Yeboah also gave the solution to the eminent panelists of the forum to be recommended for the EC.

"JOY 2012" stated that, “over bloated by the dead, minors and foreigners if not totally eliminated under strict vigilance can be minimized drastically to perfect the human part of BVR data verification and validation.”

Mr. Osei Yeboah caution the country and the EC in particular to review the law in terms of acceptable results from the performance and accuracy of the Biometric Voter Machines (BVM) - “The 2012 election can be annulled looking at the performance of Biometric Machines in congruence to its accuracy of 99.98%”
