The Minister of Information, Mrs Zita Okaikoi, and her two Deputies will be available two hours every week on the internet�s face-book to interact with the public. The Minister will be available on Fridays from 8am to 10am while her deputies, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa and James Agyenim Boateng, will be on line on Wednesdays, from 3 pm to 5pm and Thursdays, from 4pm to 6pm, respectively. A statement signed by the minister, explained that the initiative, besides enhancing the government engagement with the public, was also to underscore its promise of transparency and accountability. According to the statement, many more platforms would be created to make it possible for the general public to engage government. �We are also in the process of activating a �Text and Call Centre� to make it possible for persons to reach out to government and alert to developments within their area, make enquiries, suggestions and give feedback,� it stated.
