Nana Akufo-Addo Is Nowhere Close to Prez Mahama - Haruna Iddrisu

National Democratic Congress (NDC) Member of Parliament for Tamale South, Haruna Iddrisu is calling on Ghanaians not to waste their time voting for the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the 2016 general elections.

According to him, even members of the opposition party know its “lacks unity and cohesion” to govern and accelerate Ghana’s development.

Haruna Iddrisu made the comment while addressing the University for Development Studies branch of the Tertiary and Educational Institutional Network (TEIN) of the NDC at Nyakapala in the Northern Region.

He indicated that that a party without a national purpose and direction is not worth handling a nation like Ghana.

Mr. Iddrisu who is also the Minister for Employment and Labour Relations said Ghanaians are not ready to trade a competent Mahama-led administration for an “unelectable party like the NPP”.

“It is evident and accepted that the NPP is an unelectable party; unless they put their acts together [they will remain in perpetual opposition]” he stressed.

Comparing the personalities of the leaders of the two political parties, the Tamale South MP said the NPP’s flagbearer, Nana Akufo-Addo is nowhere close to President Mahama.

“As for President Mahama and Nana Akufo-Addo, there is a gap of difference in their personality, judgement and compassion and Nana is only the opposite of Mahama” he stated.

Haruna Iddrisu urged the NPP members to psyche themselves for another bitter defeat in 2016 because that will be their fate.
