The District Assemblies Elections according to reports gathered, recorded a low turnout throughout the country, despite the publicity given to the event.
Peace FM reporters who visited some of the polling stations saw just a handful of people voting while in other polling stations; the electoral officers were sitting idle.
However, the Public Relations Officer of the Electoral Commission of Ghana, Sylvia Annor has asked Ghanaians to wait for the Commission to conduct a nationwide collation of the number of people who took part in the exercise before drawing their conclusions: that is when we will know if the turnout was low as compared to the previous years
Sylvia Annor was speaking in an interview to Nana Yaw Kesse, on Peace FM morning show Kokrokoo
