NDC Execs Are Dishonest...Misappropriate Funds & Divert 700 Bags Of Cement - Cadre

A founding member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mr. Clement Sangaparee has vowed to fight a mafia group in the party in the Obuasi East Constituency, which has changed the direction of the party. “I will destroy any existing and emerging mafia groups in the NDC,” he vowed.

According to him, he would use every legal means to fight the leadership, some of who are dishonest people that have embezzled party funds without restraint and that he would ensure they have all been phased out to safeguard the principles for which NDC was formed.
“I am prepared and ready to call all such elements to order,” he said, and explained that he cannot look on while latter day saints infiltrate into the ranks of the NDC when a thousand cadres had sacrificed their previous lives between 1982 to 1992 to get the NDC formed.

Sangaparee said once the leaderships had been identified and their fraudulent activities exposed, he would then move to convert the membership through intensive political education, which would in turn help mould patriots and nationalists to push through the Better Ghana Agenda. According to Sangaparee, the Obuasi East constituency of the NDC has in its fold dishonest executives who are enriching themselves by embezzling party funds through fraudulent means, without restraint.

The senior cadre has, therefore, called on the leadership of the party to investigate allegations of embezzlement, misappropriation and diversion of items, including 700 bags of cement meant for the completion of the NDC constituency office, which has now come to a standstill.

He has recommended that all persons proven to have contributed to losses in the party and thus brought shame and dishonor to the party should be stripped of their positions in the party or be disqualified from contesting for any office, in line with Article 39(8) of the constitution of the party.

Mr. Sangaparee has already initiated a law suit against Mr. John Ackah, the constituency organizer of Obuasi East NDC and NADMO Co-ordinator of the Obuasi Municipal Assembly (OMA) claiming a refund of GH111, 900 belonging to the party with interest.

The said GH111, 900 is believed to have been paid to Ackah by the Obuasi Small Scale Miners Association as Corporate Social Responsibility to the Obuasi Municipal Chief Executive directed the association to channel their support through the defendant.
