John Boadu Is Making Empty ThreatsHe Doesnt Scare Us!!! - Republic Newspaper Editor

Managing Editor of the Republic newspaper, Mr. David Tamakloe says the National Organizer of the opposition NPP, John Boadu is making empty threats with a court suit to protect himself from further exposé by the Republic newspaper.

John Boadu sued DST Global Consult, Publisher of the Republic Newspaper, the News Editor and the Managing editor for libel.

The suit is in connection with the July 21, 2015 publication in the paper, with headline “John Boadu Grabs new $40,000 car- Accused of pocketing GH650, 000 as Talensi creditors chase NPP”.

Reacting to the case in court on OKAY FMs "Ade Akye Ebia" programme, David Tamakloe revealed he has not been served with the writ of summons but indicated that everything the Republic newspaper reported and quoted in the July 21, 2015 publication really did occur.

He insisted his newspaper (Republic) wrote exactly what transpired in the house of Nana Akufo-Addo as there was an allegation against John Boadu that he has bought a new car with funds meant for the recently-held Talensi by-election.

He believed John Boadu himself confirmed the allegation when he sat on radio crying that some party executives leaked the meeting at Nana Akufo-Addo’s residence; asking “if it was not true, why did he lament on radio that some people in his party leaked the information?”

He maintained it will be a journey in futility if John Boadu’s intention is to intimate and scare the Republic newspaper to stop writing about him with a court action.

If he is going to court to either look for money or silence the newspaper with intimidation to stop writing about him, I want him to understand that we won’t stop today or tomorrow…we are not scared of him...on any day, we will meet him court,” he charged.

There are so many problems in NPP and the National Organizer has shielded them but we will expose them in the coming days…with the court issue, John Boadu is just finding a place to cool off….John Boadu himself knows what he has done and don’t forget that every politician like John Boadu can run to court for protection whenever there is a publication about them,” he added.

He however urged John Boadu to re-direct his strength to do everything for his party [NPP] to come out of the quamire it is in now.
