NDC Executives Predict Victory At Bantama

Bantama constituency executives of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) have said they cannot be bothered by the unprecedented political shake-up in the New Patriotic Party at the constituency in their just ended parliamentary primaries. They said they were optimistic of wining the parliamentary seat in the 2016 general elections.

The NDC executives stated that the defeat of the incumbent Hon Henry Kokofu by Daniel Okyem Aboagye cannot in any way frustrate their chances of winning the seat as they are well poised in their quest for victory.

They advised that it is high time people flushed down the lavatory the old perception that Bantama cannot be captured by any other party than the NPP. “Our main target is to win the parliamentary seat from the NPP next year.”

The Bantama NDC executives claim their conviction of winning the seat stems from the support they receive daily form new members applying to their office to join their party.

The executives said 2016 will be a year full of surprises and that residents within the constituency and the people of the region at large should expect something different altogether since a new electioneering move will sweep across the length and breadth of the country.

“We the executives and party followers are ever prepared to maximize votes at the parliamentary and the presidential levels to facilitate the continuous triumph of our yet to be elected parliamentary candidate and His Excellency John Dramani Maham,” they announced.

In an interview with the DAILY HERITAGE at last Saturday's NPP parliamentary primaries, the Bantama constituency secretary of the NDC, Mr. Jawuni Baba Yakubu, noted that the state of the nation's politics has now reached the stage where people are moving away from the old ways of worshiping individual political parties.

Mr. Yakubu noted that people are now more sensitive to the idea of voting according to what they see vis-à-vis the number of projects executed by a political party.

He said the industry of the NDC is winning masses into its fold and that people have now come to understand that when the society changes positively certain social practices too must change. The Bantama constituency secretary noted that the NDC has an impressive track record that has been motivating people to join the party.

He said apart from the many projects and initiatives, the NDC is apart which does not discriminate but rather gives an opportunity to everyone so long as they are qualified and capable of doing the job. Mr. Yakubu therefore called on all to come and join the NDC and help continue with the good work done under the leadership of His Excellency John Dramani Mahama.
