Junior Doctors Call Off Strike

Junior doctors have called off their nationwide strike following government’s decision to pay their nine months salaries.

President of the Junior Doctors Association, Michael Boateng Mensah confirmed this to Adom News Wednesday.

The doctors withdrew their services for the non-payment of their salaries for nine months.

They have been on strike since Monday because they haven’t been paid since September 2014 when they started working as House Officers in various hospitals.

The three days strike left many patients including a pregnant woman stranded.

But Dr. Boateng Mensah said patients can now heave  a sigh of relief becuase the monies have hit their accounts.

"I have received my money and my other colleagues have also received theirs. We thank government for responding to our plea" he disclosed.
