Information reaching Peace FM indicates that there is a crucial meeting going on at the presidency comprising the presidential spokesperson, Mr. Mahama Ayariga, the Attorney-General, Mrs. Betty Mould Iddrisu and several others.
The Agenda of the meeting has not been disclosed but it is believed that it has something to do with the release of Kwabena Amaning, alias Tagor and Alhaji Issa Abass who were convicted in 2006 for allegedly dealing in narcotic drugs but were released last Friday, following an Appeal court order.
Speaking to peacefmonline on phone, the only words Mrs. Iddrisu�s bodyguard could alter when we enquired of her was �she is in a meeting�. In the same way, Mr. Ayariga confirmed that he was in a meeting, but did not complain further. �I am in a meeting, call me in an hours time�, he concluded. Earlier, on the �Kokrokoo� show, Mrs. Betty Mould Iddrisu revealed that she was considering a meeting with state prosecutors and high ranking officials, to review the merits of the state�s inclination to appeal the decision of the court of appeal.
