Let�s Pray For The NPP And Its Leadership - Dr. Clement Apaak

Presidential Staffer, Dr. Clement Apaak is calling on Ghanaians to pray for the opposition New Patriotic Party [NPP] during what he described as “unhuman” disputes within the party.

His comment came after the Upper East Regional Chairman of the party, Adam Mahama was bathed with acid by two persons.

Adam Mahama is fighting for his life in the hospital after doctors have said his condition is critical.

According to report, the assailants stopped his car whilst he was about entering his house midnight on Wednesday and poured the corrosive substance on his face and entire body.

Mohammed Murtala Ibrahim his vice Chairman confirmed to PEACE FM his boss is in critical condition, adding that “his whole body is burnt”.

Although one of the assailants has been arrested, the Upper East Regional Police is yet to give reasons why the goons launched the acid attack on the chairman.

However, speaking on OKAY FM’s "Ade Akye Abia" morning show, Dr. Clement Apaak prayed for calm in the NPP so as to make politics attractive.

He noted that such incident must to be tolerated after charging the police to fish out the attackers and also ensure peace and order in the region.

“I feel sorry for the chairman…we pray for his life,” he said.
