NPP Parliamentary Aspirant Urges Diligence And Right Judgment

Delegates who would be voting to elect parliamentary candidates for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) have been urged to be more diligent, and make the right choices to enhance the party’s electoral fortunes in 2016.

They should elect only those with proven track record, popular with voters, represent their aspirations and be able to better articulate their concerns on the floor of parliament.

Mr Peter Abum Sarkodie, a lecturer at the University of Education, Winneba, College of Agricultural Education, made the call through the Ghana News Agency (GNA), and said competence, dedication, service and hard work must be the yardstick.

He is one of the candidates vying for the Asante-Mampong NPP parliamentary ticket.

Mr. Sarkodie said he was asking for the mandate of the people not for the pursuit of personal comfort, convenience or any self-serving agenda, but to provide the right leadership to bring development to the constituency.

He expressed optimism about his chances, adding that, he could connect with the electorate to substantially increase his party’s share of votes.

He called for a clean and healthy contest, to help the NPP maintain a united, strong and impregnable front.
