NDC Supporters Cautioned Against Backbiting

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has entreated its faithful to avoid back-biting and other forms of negative utterances that would affect the progress of the party.

Mr. Basha Harsey, Co-ordinator of Ablekuma District Coordinating Committee of the NDC explained that the success of the party at the 2016 general elections would depend on the collective efforts of all constituents, devoid of tribalism.

He was speaking at the inauguration of the Ablekuma District Coordinating Committee of the NDC that took place at Mataheko in Accra.

The function had the theme, “Ablekuma district ready for 2016”.

In all, 23 elected members from the four constituencies namely, Ablekuma North, Ablekuma South, Ablekuma Central and Ablekema West districts were sworn into office.

They were Dr. Okoe—Vanderpuye, Mr. Fredrick Fritz Baffour, Mr. Tetteh Chaie, Mr. Basha Harsey (Coordinator), Mr. Ephraim Nii Tan Sackey (secretary), Mr. Kojo Kotoka (organiser), Othhniel Otokunor Quinoo (treasurer) and Mr. William Ocansey.

The rest are Mr. Dickson Lekey, Ms. Evelyn Dzeketey, Emmanuel Quaye, George Acheampong, Mr. Robert Quaye, Ms. Patience Lartey, Apolone Gastor, Mushrina Sumalia, Sumaila Alhassan, Gambo Zam Atu.

Others are Ali Bello Bitugu, Ebenezer Nii Okaikoi Armar-Atsen, Augustine Rastio Akwetea, Hajia Sadia Maikankan and Sidii Ali Bashiru.

Mr. Harsey indicated that the government was working to ensure that the current ’dumsor’ situation in the country would be a thing of the past.

Mr. Basha Harsey expressed gratitude for the confidence reposed and pledged to provide the needed resources to ensure the committee’s success.
