A founding member of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mr. Ayisi Boateng has chided the 2008 spokesperson of Nana Akufo-Addo, Dr Arthur Kennedy for tagging NPP Presidential Candidate as intolerant.

Dr. Arthur Kennedy, currently a fierce critic of perceived wrongs in the party, stated in the controversial article, that the "dumb obsession" of the opposition Presidential candidate to remove "duly elected and loyal executives, bespeaks intolerance in a man who has the potential to be a great leader."

But reacting to the article on Okay Fm’s "Ade Akye Abia" Morning Show, Mr. Ayisi Boateng implored the forgiveness of God for Dr. Arthur Kennedy for his “unacceptable and vilification” statement.

He explained that due to Nana Addo’s tolerance and his unifier spirit, he made Arthur Kennedy his spokesperson after he [Arthur Kennedy] has contested him [Nana Addo] in the Presidential Primaries.

He again said Dr. Arthur Kennedy should share the blame of the people around Nana Addo who don’t give good counsel to him as he has been Nana Addo’s close confidant since 2008 and couldn’t help him to win power.

He however beseeched Dr. Arthur Kennedy to shut up and allow the NPP faithfuls to help Nana Addo to win power for Ghanaians since he is living comfortably in USA earning foreign income.

“If he loves NPP, he should come home and help us to win power from NDC and give good counsel to Nana Addo to come up with good measures to unburden Ghanaians, otherwise some of us will not allow him to destroy the party and the Presidential Candidate; we forgive him……God should forgive Dr. Arthur Kennedy for saying Nana Addo is intolerant; he does not know what he saying..."

“If Nana Addo wanted to be General Secretary, he would have contested for it and if he wanted the position of National Chairman, he would have contested for it. Arthur Kennedy should act like that elder who means well for his family don’t talk anyhow like he did; he should shut up,” he fumed.
