I Regret Campaigning Against Sir JohnHe Should Please Forgive Me Ken Agyapong

New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament (MP) for Assin Central, Kennedy Agyapong played a vital role to ensure that former General Secretary of his party, Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie, also known as Sir John was voted out from office.

His aim was finally achieved when at the Tamale congress a year ago, Sir John and several others including past chairman, Jake Obetsebi-Lamptey were defeated at the congress.

However, the outspoken NPP MP has regretted his decision and pleaded for forgiveness from Sir John whom he described as a “good brother”.

“Let me take this opportunity to apologise to Sir John…I have never made such a mistake in my life,” he said.

Kennedy Agyapong was speaking on Asempa FM’s "Ekosii Sen" programme Tuesday, concerning incidences in the party in recent times.

NPP, for the past week has been in the media for negative reasons following the holding of an emergency steering committee meeting in the absence of chairman Afoko and Secretary Kwabena Agyepong.

The latest to dirty the already muddied waters of the party is a former campaign manager and presidential aspirant of the party, Dr. Kobina Arthur Kennedy who in his latest article called for a deliverance for the party.

Kennedy Agyapong in his submission on Asempa FM noted that there was peace in the party during Sir John’s era compared to now.
