Nduom Shares Success Story

President of Groupe Nduom (GN), Dr. Papa Kwesi Nduom, at the weekend disclosed that four key success pillars helped him to grow his multinational group of companies.

These, he disclosed, include starting small, earning and maintaining a reputation of high ethics and integrity, re-investing, and growing stronger.

“Go where others do not want to go. Share success with employers, community and shareholders,” Dr. Nduom added.

The GN president made this disclosure when he addressed a conference of over hundreds of men.

The conference christened; Man-to-Man, was organised by BN Michael Ministry was on themed: “I am The Man.’

It was aimed at highlighting a sense of confidence, boldness, and self-assertiveness of man as head of the home to provide sustenance for the family.

Dr. Nduom quoted Proverbs 24:33-34 to underscore the need on why men needed to work hard.

He further underscored the importance that a lot was expected from men.

“We [referring to men] cannot run away from our responsibilities,” he noted.

“…we must acknowledge them, measure our respective sizes and take appropriate measures to deal effectively with

the pressures put on us by society,” he noted.

According to him, “as men it was vital we understand the environment we live in a little bit.”

He added that Ghana was going through difficult times. This, he said, was not for the faint-hearted.

“We live with interrupted power supply which is destroying the dream of many. It is a reality that as energy goes, so goes a nation… and this in recent times has caused a battle of sorts between the United States of America (USA) and China to gain access to sources of energy all over the world,” he noted.

It was along this line that Dr. Nduom said USA was being challenged by China for its longstanding position as the biggest user of oil and gas in the world.

Energy, the GN president explained, powers factories, homes, offices, and eventually leads to prosperity for countries that use it in abundance, adding “so when in Ghana we experience periodic power interruptions, we are also experiencing difficulties on the road to prosperity.”

“We are living in challenging times in which even financial institutions suffer liquidity crisis with increasing loan defaults or infrequent repayment,” he indicated.

According to him, many financial institutions are threatened by the widespread occurrence of [non-performing] loans.

He seized the chance to encourage men to save, invest, insure their property and also have a pension to aid them with good money value.

Other speakers of the event included Dr. Michael Boadi Nyamekye and Dr. C.J. Buckman.
