Hypocrisy of African leaders Is The Bane Of African Unity - Atik Mohammed

Policy Analyst of the People's National Convention (PNC), Atik Mohammed has called on African leaders to issue warnings to the long-serving colleague Presidents on the continent. Speaking on Peace FM's "Kokrokoo", Atik Mohammed urged the African leaders not to wait till issues escalate into violence before they advise their colleagues to step down. Reacting to the resignation of Burkina Faso's President Blaise Campore, the PNC Policy Analyst bemoaned the foreign policies of African countries, particularly Ghana, stressing that Ghana's foreign policy has become the weakest. According to him, African Presidents who hold onto to power for several years without any attempt to abdicate the Presidential throne may incur the wrath of the citizens. To Atik Mohammed, the "hypocrisy" of African leaders potentially arouses anarchy in member States and so, held a strong view that it is about time the leaders rise to caution their colleagues. The hypocrisy of our leaders has been the bane of our African unityUntil we deal with the hypocrisy of our own Presidents, this issue about some leaders being dictatorial not wanting to leave the scene will continue. You must begin to tell your colleagues that we do not agree to what youre doing in our country," he advised.
