Greater Accra NPP Youth Wing Declares Support For Nana Akufo-Addo

On 31st August 2014, over 700 Super delegates of the New Patriotic Party spoke and they spoke with one clear voice. The NPP, contrary to views held by some, is focused and united behind Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo. Though we concede that the super delegates constitutes one percent of the larger Electoral College, their positions as National, Regional, Constituency and Senior members of the party gives credence to the assertion that they amplify the voices of the over 140,000 polling station executives who will on October 18 2014 cast their ballot to determine who leads the NPP to the 2016 presidential election. You may recall, earlier on in the year, that the Greater Accra youth wing called on all prospective candidates then, to reconsider their decision to go into the contest by voluntarily pulling out for NPP to acclaim Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo as our flagbearer. That in the estimation of many was considered as just some youthful opinion. However, the recent outcome of the Special Electoral College has proven us right. Ladies and gentlemen, we made this claim knowing emphatically that Nana Akufo-Addo is the one Ghanaians yearned and are still yearning for. He, at present, represents Ghanas hope. He represents the visionary and incorruptible leader Ghana presently needs. We wish to reaffirm our opinion NPP must go for acclamation on 18th October 2014. We say this with the fullest conviction that Nana Akufo Addos vision is impeccable and relevant to the course Ghana urgently needs to chart. Consequently, we wish to commend Hon. Joe Ghartey and Hon. Kofi Osei-Ameyaw for paying heed to the calls of the grassroot by graciously and honorably bowing out of the race. To those still in contention, we wish them luck, whiles our very best wishes goes out to our candidate, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo. Ladies and gentlemen it should be clear even to the politically uninitiated that Nana Addo at present remains the toast of the polling station executives and the darling boy of the grassroot. Thus, subjecting the party to another contest that the outcome is well known by the contestants themselves will be a complete waste of resources and time. Such an unwarranted contest only has the tendency to beget division, rancour and deepen animosity in our ranks. Ladies and gentlemen, every politician must be able and smart enough to see, feel and hear the direction of a political euphoria and strategize accordingly. The NPP euphoria is huge and clear. It is moving like a tsunami and it would soon transcend the boundaries of NPP and catch up with all Ghanaians. Change cometh to Ghana and it is very nigh with Akufo-Addo as the partys flag bearer. We therefore wish to appeal and urge the other aspirants to consider time and resource constraints and consciously bid their own time. Political season and times come for everyone, it is how you bid it that makes you graciously and loyally get it. The sacrifices you sincerely and genuinely make today in your political life will pay an overwhelming dividend later. Make your sacrifices now and reap later. Please see wisdom in our youthful advice so we can send a clear and loud message to President Mahama and his incompetent cohorts that we are united and ready to bring back hope and prosperity to Ghanaians. In light of the above, and the consideration of his vision, charm and charisma, the Greater Accra youth wing wishes to declare with an unequivocal tone our support for Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo. By 2016, P(NDC) would have had almost three (3) decades (30years) of governing this country. Ironically, their record, compared to the under a decade (10years) of the Dankwa, Dombo, and Busia tradition is nothing to write home about. The P(NDC) record is one of unprecedented corruption, gross mismanagement of resources, disregard for rule of law, gargantuan lies and vile propaganda. NPP faithful, lets by our actions tell the NDC that enough is enough and show them that Nana Akufo-Addo is presently the most suitable and most capable to lead our bid towards recapturing political power. We believe and hope that by the grace of God and the benevolence of the good people of Ghana the NPP would be back on January 7 2017. SHEI NANA, SHEI NPP, GOD BLESS NPP, GOD BLESS GHANA. SIGNED MR.
