Anita De-Soso Goes Wild

National Womens Organiser of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and deputy National Coordinator of the National Disaster and Management Organisation (NADMO), Madam Anita De-Soso, has mounted pressure on President John Dramani Mahama to immediately lay-off all old civil servants at the Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assemblies (MMDAs). The reason, the outspoken politician said, would help the president to fight high-profile corrupt practices in the ministries and other state institutions in the country. Speaking in an interview with Adom FM yesterday in Accra, Madam De-Soso appealed to President Mahama to, with immediate effect, sack all civil servants who ought to be on retirement but are still serving at various ministries. According to her, the ministries and other state institutions are being manned by aged civil servants whose contribution towards national development is insignificant. The vociferous national womens Organiser of the NDC further described some as crooks who she said are only interested in stealing from government coffers. Unless the Mugabes are kicked out from all government institutions, the NADMO deputy coordinator said, the desire of President Mahama to rid the country of corruption will be a mirage. The president [Mahama] must sack all those who have served at the ministries and various government institutions and have become redundant. some are supposed to go on retirement yet they are there doing nothing. If the president really wants to fight corruption, then he must sack all the Mugabes, she added.
