All Govt. Institutions Are Non-Functional; We Have Failed Ourselves As Ghanaians - Kofi Jumah

Former New Patriotic Party [NPP] Member of Parliament [MP] for Asokwa Constituency, Maxwell Kofi Jumah believes Ghanaians are the cause of the jumble the country is experiencing in recent times. According to him, despite the Mahama-led government been reckless and disappointing, they are not the cause of the Ghanas present mess. He noted that failure of governance institutions has been a major issue hunting this nation for years. Ghanas present mess was not caused by only the irresponsible behavior and corruption of the NDC, but also the disappointing failure of our governance institutions, he said. Kofi Jumah who has been a consistent critic of the Mahama-led administration questioned why the Electoral Commission [EC] declared the NDC victors in the 2012 presidential election after rigging issues have been raised by other political parties. How come our institutions were not able to put brakes on some of these excesses? How come our electoral processes made us chose the present Government? he quizzed. To him, all government institutions are nonfunctional and needs proper restructure to help build a better Ghana. What role did our Parliament play in this quagmire? What about the independent institutions like Commission on Human Rights and Administrative Justice [CHRAG], National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE), Public Services and the Press? he asked. Kofi Jumah however questioned Economic and Organised Crime Office [EOCO], Bureau of National Investigations [BNI], Audit Board, Trade Union Congress [TUC] and various professional bodies role to help the state revamp its bedridden economy hardship. The former NPP legislator also expressed dismay with the National House of Chiefs shameful acceptance of corruptible cars gift from President John Mahama in this hard times. What role did our Chieftaincy and Academic institutions play or not play to get this country to such a disgraceful level. Ghana, we have failed ourselves and black people everywhere. Black Stars indeed, he posted on Facebook.
