Performance Of NPP Leadership, The Worst In Partys History - Nyaho Tamakloe

A leading member of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Nyaho Nyaho-Tamakloe is calling for a total overhaul of the party current national leadership. He said the performance of the national executives led by Chairman, Jake Obestebi-Lamptey is the worst in the partys history. I have seen different national executives before and when I compared them to the current ones, the difference is too big Dr. Nyaho-Tamakloe told CitiFM, Tuesday. The performance of the current executives most of whom are seeking re-election has been questioned by many including the Member of Parliament for Assin Central, Kennedy Agyapong. He has accused the executives of being corrupt and self-centered especially in the run-up to the 2012 electioneering campaign. Kennedy Agyapong has promised to launch a 20 million dollar campaign against the national executives especially Mr. Obetsebi-Lamptey to ensure no one is retained. In support, Dr. Nyaho-Tamakloe called on party delegates to vote against all of the current executives at the partys upcoming congress on April 12, 2014 in Tamale. According to him, the NPP is likely to lose the 2016 elections if the national executives are retained. The present national executives should all be voted out. From chairman to the least person so that we will have a new set who will keep the party on its feet, he stressed. Dr. Nyaho-Tamakloe was convinced that with a new crop of leadership, the NPP will be a vibrant party to wrestle power from the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC) in 2016.
