Akufo-Addo, Alan Rivalry Is Just A Hype Freddie Blay

It obviously matters who gets to be President. And it is perfectly valid for a political party to advocate for the candidate they think is more qualified, based on their assessment. But sometimes, the hype gets so out of control that it become bigger than the presidency itself. According to a former Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Freddie Blay, the rivalry between the main opposition New Patriotic Partys twice-defeated flagbearer, Nana Akufo-Addo and twice-failed flagbearer aspirant Alan Kyerematen is just a hype which is very healthy. Sometimes it is hype, you wont know but sometimes it is more of perception. Naturally when people are born of the same father and mother, there will be differences and there will be certain rivalry. There is nothing wrong about that...its healthy provided there is nothing acrimonious, he said. Speaking on Asempa FM, the former Ellembele lawmaker said that, the followers of the two politicians rather make it appear as if there is a deep-seated polemic between the two. Its unfortunate that the followers and admirers of the two rather create the tension. There is no rivalry among the two personalities, he opined. Nonetheless, Mr. Freddy Blay who is also vying for the first-national-vice chairman position in the NPP noted that, even if there is a rivalry between Nana-Addo and Alan Kyerematen that will bring the best out of them.
