NDC Uncomfortable With NPPs Successful Regional Elections?

Following the just ended Regional Executive Elections of the largest opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), reports indicated the beauty of the polls was clouded by allegations of inducing delegates with money. But a member of the party, Isaac Acheampong is rather pointing accusing finger at the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) as the architects behind the news. Speaking on Okay Fm on Ghana Decides program, the NPP communicator averred that the delegates chose executives who they believe can work to secure victory for the party in 2016 and not on account of personal interests. Touching on the monetary aspect of the election, Isaac Acheampong posited that paying transportation of delegates back home cannot be considered to be bribery. Addressing the issue of Chairman Wontumis three-storey building donation to NPP in Ashanti Region prior to the election, he disclosed that the kind gesture from the newly elected Ashanti Regional Chairman has got nothing to do with his victory over his opponent as he (Wontumi) has been seen on several occasion giving support to the party across the country. According to him, the perceived Moneycracy in NPP is unfounded as the campaigns of the candidates throughout the regions never witness any monies changing hands for votes in the just ended Regional Executives Elections. ...from the time they started their campaign to the time of election, nobody was seen giving out monies to delegates to buy their votes. How much money can you spend in buying the votes of all the delegates? Is it Ghc20, Ghc50 or Ghc100? No, so there was nothing like that except that NDC wants to find fault with the successful election conducted by NPP. Anytime NPP successively carries out a program, NDC goes into jitters till they find fault and condemn it, he opined.
