Im Yet To See Contract Documents Of Programs Started From 2006 GYEEDA Boss

I have sat in that office for a while now and Im privy to some facts, not information but facts. And I can say if we decide, as a country to be non-partisan in dealing with this GYEEDA issue, we would have to go back to when it started, says the National Coordinator of Ghana Youth Employment and Entrepreneurial Development Agency, Kobby Acheampong. Those were his opening statements during a panel discussion on the court action initiated against Hon. Abuga Pele, the former GYEEDA National Coordinator and Chief Executive Officer of Goodwill International Group, Philip Akpeena Assibit. They are facing a total of 19 charges including causing financial loss to the state to the tune of about US$3 million and defrauding by false pretences, but many believe they are only being used as sacrificial lambs. However, addressing the issue on Metro TVs Good Morning Ghana, Kobby Acheampong opined that we would have to go back to where it started. When the program was rolled out for the very first time and It would bring you in its trail and wake, a lot of questions that needs to be answered by people who even started this program. Because as I sit there now, I am yet to see contract documents to programs that were started from 2006, when the program was first rolled out. According to him, a full inquest must be done from when the NYEP now (GYEEDA) was started but it must be done devoid of the polemics and the unnecessary politicization that has characterized national discuss. .lets go with what is right for this country. If a crime has been committed, let the law court deal with the crime and at the end of the day, let the person do the time for the crime he has committed and convicted for. So that we all get over this hump of the blame game, the GYEEDA boss maintained.
