The leadership of the New Patriotic Party wishes to congratulate all members of the party who have participated in polling station and constituency elections over the last two months in our efforts to reorganise the party for the general elections of 2016. The generally peaceful, united, free and fair manner in which the elections have been held is a testament to the NPP�s belief in democracy and reinforces the party�s position as leading democratic political party in Ghana. On Saturday, we will further deepen these credentials when 5,000 delegates elect 100 regional officers from a total of 267 aspiring candidates, who will steer the affairs of the party at the regional level for the next four years. The leadership of the party is of the firm belief that Saturday�s elections will be held in the spirit of fairness so the party can get back to pursuing the agenda of wrestling power from the incompetence and despondency that has engulfed our nation since the NDC assumed the reins of power 5 years ago. We must consciously let peace and unity within the NPP serve as a constant guide as this is the only way we can reinforce our front to offer a more attractive and competent alternative for the people of Ghana, so we can give them the competent governance they deserve. ��signed�� Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie General Secretary
