My Chavez Days Are Officially Over - Ama Benyiwa Doe

The dust has finally settled and Ama Benyiwa Doe has personally come out to deny rumors circulating on social media that she is dead. Grapevine reports indicated that the former Central Regional Minister was dead. But responding to this on Okay FM and subsequently appearing in person in the studios of Peace FM during the airing of the station's flagship programme, Kokroko, Madam Benyiwa Doe laughed off the rumors and explained that her appointment as a Council of State member limited her interaction with the media. Madam Benyiwa Doe urged the conspirators not to misconstrue her long silence to mean she has kicked the bucket. She notes that unlike in the past when she exhibited zeal and energy on air, her new role in government demands an intense internal input more than her public contributions, stressing that her "Chavez days are over". Speaking in figurative terms, she said let us assume, you are at a fair and the music being played in the background is a High Life tune, you are expected to dance well to it. But should the Disc Jockey abruptly stop playing High Life and insert Agbaja music, one is expected to change his or her dance moves.
