According to him, Nana Kofi Karikari was quickly whisked away by the Obuasi Police Command after a court order for him to be remanded pending investigations. The sub-Chief of Atwima Koforidua, who claims to be a staunch member of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC), was charged with falsification of documents purported to be coming from the seat of government, The Flagstaff House. Nana Karikari was picked up by the police on Tuesday, after it became evident that he had forged documents and letterheads from the Flag Staff House, claiming to assist ex-casual workers of AGA who were laid off some few years ago. The Chieftaincy Institution is a revered one in Ghana and many parts of Africa however, a cross section of the general public believe that Nana Kofi Karikari must face the full rigors of the law to send a signal to others that no one is above the law. He will however remain in the custody whiles the Police carry out investigation into the allegations.
