I Will Win In A Massive Way Kwabena Agyapong

Aspiring General Secretary of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kwabena Agyapong is confident party delegates will elect him as the General Secretary ahead of the upcoming congress in March. According to him, the delegates have bought into the action oriented and practical leadership he is ready to offer to ensure the NPP wins the 2016 general elections. As the NPP prepares for its delegate congress, the positions of National Chairman and General Secretary are being fiercely contested. National Chairman, Jake Obetsebi-Lamptey faces stiff competition from party stalwarts like Stephen Ntim and Paul Afoko. Contenders of the General Secretary position apart from Kwabena Agyapong also include incumbent Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie also known as Sir John, Yaw Boabeng Asamoah and Captain retired Nkrabea Effa Darteh. But speaking on Asempa FMs Ekosii Sen programme Tuesday, Kwabena Agyapong said his commitment to party work since 1992 will be rewarded. The public endorsement I have received over the last few weeks, I can tell you that I will win this in a massive way, he added. He said individuals in the party who believe in his vision campaign tell other people that this is the confident person [Agyapong] who has the courage, compassion and who has shown throughout his political record in the party he is prepared to sacrifice and work selflessly for the party so vote for him. The former presidential spokesperson in the erstwhile Kufuor administration emphasized his readiness and willingness to serve the party if given the nod. Meanwhile, Kwabena Agyapong is on a campaign tour of the Volta region after successfully completing his campaign in the Upper East, West and Northern regions.
