Hot Fight In NDC Over Party Chairmanship Slot

As the National Democratic Congress (NDC) gear up for the election of its party heads, the current NDC Chairman, Dr. Kwabena Adjei clearly appears to be in jitters for fear of losing his Chair as he has already began casting insinuations and wild allegations on some party elements he described as enemies within the party. His insinuations are direct response to a section of the media report alleging that the Coordinator of the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO) Mr. Kofi Portuphy had been sharing bags of rice, cooking oil and students mattresses for votes. Dr. Kwabena Adjei who conspicuously could not manage his frustration which is borne out of the possible threat the Mr. Portuphy could pose to his Chair told party Cadres last Tuesday that there are enemies within the party that must be smoked out. The NDC Chairman noted that theres an enemy outside there; in fact not only outside there but the enemy within, who is seeking to ruin the fortunes of the party in the 2016 elections. He further warned saying; If you divide your rank, the enemy will get you straight and I am not going to be the person who divides you; Im going to be the person wholl bring you together to get the enemy out. He therefore urged supporters to ensure that they remain united and prevent the enemy within from dividing their front. Dr. Adjei also told the party cadres that he will never buy votes with bags of rice, cooking oil and students mattresses, and so the party faithful should be wary of other people who are seeking to buy votes. If there is anything to go by the NDC Chairmans own address on the subject ahead of the slated date, then political pundits could brace up for a very keen and interesting two-horse race.
