New Patriotic Party (NPP) National Youth Organizer, Emmanuel Atefuah Danso, believes the constant accusations of corruption leveled against successive administrations, especially the John Agyekum Kufuor government by former President Jerry John Rawlings, is a pointer to the fact that the founder of the ruling NDC is not only a jealous individual, but a very selfish person who is more concerned with filling his tummy. Mr. Rawlings has consistently accused all his successors of being corrupt. He has however singled out President Kufuor for special mention, describing him as a �very corrupt man� who �stole massively� from government coffers to enrich himself between 2001 and 2008. Former President Rawlings as a Guest of Honor said last week at the closing ceremony of the regional camp of the International Youth Fellowship at the Adidome Senior High School in the Volta Region that Mr. Kufuor is an �autocratic thief�. But speaking on �Ghana Decides� program on Okay Fm, Emmanuel Atefuah Danso, averred that the behavior of Rawlings raises doubt about his credibility, sincerity and honesty as a statesman as his sense of judgment is guided by his stomach. He thus concluded that Rawlings has a share in the Mahama-led administration hence his attempt to ignore the glaring corruption in his (Mahama�s) government. ��..what has changed after Rawlings used to say that Mills-Mahama administration was incorporated with greedy bastards, Old Evil Dwarfs and Babies with sharp teeth? This is the continuation of NDC governance; so what will cause Rawlings to blame Kufuor without accusing Mahama of glaring corruption in his government?� he quizzed. He alluded to some remarks by former President Rawlings when he was exiting office, to buttress his point that the NDC founder does not believe in multiparty democracy, but his belief is grounded in when his next meal will be ready. ��..this is what Rawlings said when he was leaving power: �I don�t believe in multiparty democracy, all that I believe is, knowing when the next meal will be ready�. This means that he thinks only of his stomach�how can such a person be a statesman? In this country, there is only one statesman and that person is ex-president Kufuor,� he declared.
