Doom awaits the New Patriotic Party, should the party swap Nana Akufo Addo for a new presidential candidate ahead of the 2016 general elections. In an observation made by a former Member of Parliament for Asikuma-Odoben-Brakwa Constituency, P.C. Appiah Ofori, he stated that their 2012 presidential candidate held the lifeline of the party. �Without Nana Addo, the NPP would be in opposition for life�, he predicted on Okay FM. According to him, if the party decides to cut the umbilical cord of Nana Addo at this time, then without the consultation of a soothsayer, he can boldly state that their portion is eternal opposition. He explained that Nana Addo�s political activities pumped political life into the party and this kept them afloat to rock shoulders with the �powerful� NDC. He urged them to maintain Nana Addo for 2016 if it is their aim to be vibrant and in 2016 and beyond.
