Kwesi Pratt, Managing Editor of the Insight newspaper has disclosed the reason behind the delay of the 3 billion Chinese Development (CDB) Loan.
The CDB loan was targeted at transforming the Ghanaian infrastructure and was supposed to have been paid in three trenches.
However, since the signing of the final agreement, the Chinese have been able to disburse only USD600m to the Ghanaian government.
Kwesi Pratt disclosed on �Kokrokoo� programme hosted by Kwami Sefa-Kayi that �Two years ago, I went to China on a private visit�and I met a Chinese minister and he asked why the country sort for permission from Washington before collecting the loan�the Chinese felt insulted (for consulting Washington)�We were not getting the politics right�some of our politics don�t help.�
