Rawlings Must Go On His Knees And Ask For Forgiveness Of Sins Kwabena Agyapong

1 John 1:9 says if we confess our sins, He (Lord) is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. According to the former Press Secretary to Ex-President Kufuor, former President John Jerry Rawlings must ask for forgiveness for his sins. For it is by this, he said, that what has been lost, and was found, is saved from being lost again. Kwabena Agyapong says Ghanaians should not pay too much attention to the utterances of Mr. Rawlings since he is suffering from old age and withdrawal pangs thus, he lacks the necessary attention since his exit from the limelight of the Presidency. The man (Rawlings) is growing old now and one will think as he is growing he will stop making such abusive utterances. He has served this nation (Ghana) so why cant he allow others to serve as well? He should rather go on his knees to ask for forgiveness of sins from God. He is also very lucky that because of the constitution, he has been forgiven for his bad deeds and suffering he led Ghana through. Ghanaians have a lot to ask President Rawlings but for the betterment of the country, we are all silent. Ghanaians suffered so much under ex- President Rawlings, he said. Mr Rawlings over the years has consistently accused all his successors of being corrupt. Recently he has singled out former President John Agyekum Kufuor and described him as a very corrupt man and a thief who stole from the coffers of the state to enrich himself. He alleged that corruption was so bad under President Kufuor that the US government sent its intelligence chief (Porter Goss) at the time to warn him (Kufuor) to curb it or face a military coup. Speaking on Adom FM, the former Press Secretary to Ex-President Kufuor suggested that Mr. Rawlingss attacks on his successor could stem from jealousy, given the way the international community has embraced Mr. Kufuor and is using his experience across the world on various UN and other international organization platforms.
