Rawlings Talks "Senselessly"

Ghanas former president, Jerry John Rawlings must be grateful to his stars for shielding him from incurring the wrath of New Patriotic Party stalwarts who are prepared to reply him in a bitter and disparaging manner hes never envisaged. Nana Obiri Boahen, a former deputy Minister of Interior told an Accra based OKAY FM that ex-president Rawlings has been fortunate he directs all his attacks on a meek person like former President Kufour and not to foul speakers like his type. His grievances were borne out of Rawlings latest attack on Kufour, which the entire NPP believe was inappropriate. Ex-president Rawlings, in an interaction with some youngsters at the Adidome Senior High School described his successor as corrupt, election rigger and an "autocratic thief". But the uninspiring comments from ex-president Rawlings forced Obiri Boahen to state that if one was to choose the most corrupt leader between the two, Rawlings record would suppress that of ex-president Kufour. He explained that Mr. Rawlings is envious of the achievement of Mr. Kufour and this drives him to make senseless and useless comments about his successor. The point is that when AU wants to take Rawlings anywhere, they send him to Somalia but should other international bodies deploy the services of Kufour, they send him to better places. They recognize Kufour than him and this makes him envious. Kufours foundation is doing well and the pain is making Rawlings talk senselessly, he said.
